Applies to productivity.iaaa.academy and every tool on it
These tools are free to use, for anything, without asking. They are also small, single-purpose and offered as they are — read this before you depend on one for something that matters.
Before you rely on this document: drafted to be read and understood rather than to survive a courtroom. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer.
1Who is behind these
Productivity Instruments is operated by Rahul Ghai under the Institute of Applied AI and Analytics™, contactable at connect@iaaa.academy.
2What you may do
Every tool here is currently free. Use any of them, as often as you like, for personal or commercial work, without a licence, an account, or a fee. Link to any page. Recommend them to anyone. Nothing is asked in return.
Using the tools is not the same as taking them — what you may do with the design and the code is set out in the copyright notice.
3They are offered as they are
These tools come with no warranty of any kind. They may contain errors, may behave differently across browsers, and may stop working after a browser update. They are provided without a promise that they are fit for any particular purpose.
4Do not rely on them for anything critical
A timer here is a convenience, not an instrument of record. Do not use these tools for medication timing, medical or clinical purposes, laboratory or industrial timing, legal deadlines, examinations, safety-critical work, or anything where a missed or inaccurate interval causes harm or loss.
Timing depends on your browser and device. A backgrounded tab may be throttled by the operating system, and a sleeping device does not keep counting reliably.
5Your data is your responsibility
Everything these tools remember is stored in your own browser, as described in the privacy notice. There is no backup and no server-side copy. Clearing your browser data, switching browsers or devices, or using a private window will lose it, and it cannot be recovered by anyone — including me.
6Availability, and what "currently free" means
These pages may change, move, or be withdrawn at any time, without notice. No uptime is promised.
There is no plan to charge for these tools, and no paid tier is being built. "Currently" is there because a tool can be retired, folded into something else, or replaced, and nothing here should read as a promise that it will exist forever.
If that ever changes, anything already on your device stays yours and stays readable. You would not be locked out of your own work by a change on this end.
7Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, I accept no liability for any loss or damage arising from the use of these tools, including lost work, lost data, missed timings, or any indirect or consequential loss. If any limitation here is unenforceable where you live, the rest still stands.
8Changes
If these terms change, the date above changes with them. Continuing to use the tools after that means the new version applies.
